This Is What Candiace Dillard’s Wedding Dress Will Look Like
The Real Housewives of Potomac pageant queen has found her dress.
For those who have been enthusiastically following along as Candiace Dillard plans her wedding with fiancé Chris Bassett, we have some exciting tea to share. We got the Real Housewives of Potomac beauty to spill all the deets on one of the most important aspects of her big day: the dress.
One of the first details Candiace revealed about her gown was that she wanted the design to steer clear of her pageant past. “As a pageant girl, you try on and you wear so many different gowns. So for me, it was important that I felt not like a pageant girl, but like a bride in my dress. For me, that is a ball gown. So I knew right away I wanted a ball gown,” she told The Lookbook.
Once deciding on the silhouette, Candiace revealed that she struggled to find the perfect dress to fit her petite figure. Since she couldn't find what she was looking for, she decided to have it custom made in true "Candiace drama queen, extra fashion." In order to make her vision come true, she enlisted the help of New York-based designer, Karen Sabag, who is currently working on the Real Housewife's gown.
Candiace explained: "[Karen] is a petite person herself, so she knows that putting a petite woman in a ball gown is a challenge because you don't want it to look like it’s swallowing you up. And she has accomplished and achieved that to a T."
Candiace and Chris will be tying the knot on August 11, 2018, in Washington D.C.
We can’t wait to see the Real Housewife's bridal vision come to life.
