This Is What Vicki Gunvalson Tosses in the Slow Cooker For an Easy Dinner For 2 at Home
It's a very popular dish among The Real Housewives of Orange County pal's fans, too.
We now know what Vicki Gunvalson cooks on a cozy Sunday afternoon when she's hanging out at home with boyfriend Steve Lodge. On September 23, The Real Housewives of Orange County pal took to Instagram to show off what was simmering in her slow cooker.
In the image, a hearty hunk of meat marinates alongside a bunch of bright peppers. "Crock Pot Mississippi roast is for dinner tonight for [Steve] and I," she wrote, adding a hash tag to let followers in on her other plans for the evening: #football.
Quick FYI: The dish Vicki is referring to usually involves chuck roast, pepperoncini, pepperoncini juice, and extra goodies for maximum flavor — including ranch dressing.
And if you think that sounds delicious, you're not alone. Vicki's followers were quick to chime in with enthusiastic comments on the post. What ensued was a cute recipe swap of sorts:
"I've made that awesome roast several times!!! We love it with homemade mashed potato/cauliflower combo and roasted broccoli or carrots," said one follower. Another wrote: "We love this roast recipe! Simple yet yummy," while still another fan decided to share her own spin on a Sunday roast.
"That looks delicious! We are Puerto Ricans, we made white rice with gandules (pigeon peas) steak with onions, green peppers, and a green salad. Bon appetit!," she wrote.
Indeed, it looks like the New Jersey 'Wives aren't the only ones who slay a Sunday dinner.
