The results are in for Google's 2018 Year in Search, and one Bravoleb family has made a surprising showing. The Dubrow Diet by The Real Housewives of Orange County alums Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow became Amazon's number one book in the world when it was relelased earlier this year. Now, it has hit almost the same level of buzz as the celeb-loved diet trend of the moment — keto — ranking just behind it as the number two most searched diet of the year on Google.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Peacock and the Bravo App.

"This is a diet where you can eat the foods you like to eat. And you also get to cheat on this diet. It's not like those other diets. Keto diet is the best example," Terry told The Feast at Bravo HQ in NYC. "With the keto diet, you do go into fat as fuel stage like you do with this diet, but you eat high-fat foods, low carbs, low protein — it's completely not sustainable."

"In practical terms, I don't like the keto diet," Heather added. "It's not sustainable and the thing about the keto diet is, the minute you cheat, it's over, you're out of that ketotic state and any result you had is absolutely gone. What we have done [with the Dubrow Diet] is turned this interval eating into such a good, practical way for anyone to do, and given you your favorite foods. You have to cheat. So we give you three tracks: There's a slow track, a medium track, and a fast track. We like the fast track — it's a 16-hour non-feeding period. But you still have calories during that period of time, and then you get your cheat meal, snack, or day, depending on what track you're on."

Other popular diets in Google's 2018 Year in Search include Noom diet (a weight loss app), Carnivore diet (which calls for eating strictly animal products), Mediterranean diet (which is plant-based), Optavia diet (which helped Cake Boss Buddy Valastro shed major pounds this year), Dr. Gendry diet (which eliminates lectin), the drastic fasting diet, FODMAP diet (which restricts certain carbs), and The Shepherd's Diet (which espouses following Biblical guidelines).

Expect these search terms to spike just after the holidays, when the caloric damage starts to be assessed.
