Emily Simpson Opens Up About Her Daughter, Annabelle, Starting a Modeling Career (UPDATED)
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom shared why it was “finally” time to let her 10-year-old explore a modeling career.
Emily Simpson is ready to help her daughter, Annabelle, make a major career move.
In the video above, which is a preview of Season 17 Episode 4 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Emily opens up about supporting 10-year-old Annabelle’s interest in professional modeling. “Annabelle just like came out of the womb with this huge personality,” she says in an episode interview. “She’s been interested in modeling for many years. I just wanted to make sure that she’s to the point where she would take it seriously, and I feel like we’re finally there.”

In the preview, Emily and Annabelle head to LA Model Management for a meeting, where Emily reiterates that she would support Annabelle’s career.
In an interview, Emily shares more about how her own upbringing inspired her to support and be a part of her kids’ endeavors. “Being around my kids all the time and being so invested in their life, it really brings up a lot of memories about my own childhood,” she says. “You know, when you’re growing up, you don’t know that your mom should get up with you every morning and make sure you have breakfast. No one did that for me, and that’s kind of weird, kind of sh-tty.”
“I’m trying to give my children a better life than what I had,” she continues. “And I think as parents, our goal is to do better than the generation before us, which isn’t that high of a threshold, honestly.”
The preview of the episode, which airs on June 28, shows Annabelle doing some test shots with the company and getting great feedback on her “super cute” photos. As they leave for the day, Annabelle sweetly hugs Emily and says, “Thank you, Mom.”
Emily Simpson on Helping Annabelle Pursue Her “Dreams”
In March, 2022, Emily penned a sweet Instagram post about her daughter after RHOC viewers got a glimpse of Annabelle’s baptism reception during a Season 16 episode.
“As [Annabelle’s] mother, I am here to guide her but also support her wishes, dreams and desires,” she wrote. “All I want for my children is for them to follow their dreams so that they find love, peace, fulfillment and self worth. I hope they each find the fulfillment that they deserve.”
Did Annabelle Simpson sign with a modeling agency?
Later, Emily shared an exciting update on Season 17 Episode 5. In an episode interview, Emily excitedly revealed, “Annabelle signed with a modeling agency,” and added, “I think Annabelle modeling at her age right now is a good thing for her because she would have to be somewhere on time, she has to be respectful. She needs a little professionalism in her life. She’s wild.”
