Luann de Lesseps: I’m Working With the Best in the Business
Luann talks about her cabaret show and the moment this week that made her proud to be on #RHONY.
Bethenny and Dorinda’s trip to Puerto Rico got me thinking about how darkness can bring clarity. It’s almost impossible to focus on yourself when you are helping others. Problems that seemed so large to Dorinda before the trip became inconsequential when compared to what the people of Puerto Rico have endured. Bethenny brought hope to those in Puerto Rico who felt forgotten, and if this helped Dorinda find clarity, I say #namaste! The work they did together was transformative and inspiring for the entire world to see. These are the moments that make me proud to be a part of this show.
When Tinsley fled Palm Beach, Sonja gave her a roof over her head, a sympathetic ear, and a hand-up socially. That is true friendship. I wish Tinsley had shown more gratitude during her stay…a box of chocolates, flowers, or even just a little note would have gone a long way towards making Sonja feel appreciated. She was there for the long haul and buying a gift at the end was very kind, but it was a day late. Now that Sonja is trying to mend their relationship, I hope that Tinsley realizes good girlfriends are priceless.
I don’t know what’s going on between Carole and Bethenny, but it’s not warm and fuzzy. There’s a fire smoldering with no extinguisher in sight. This should be interesting to watch!
I’m working with the best in the business on my new cabaret show, #CountessAndFriends! Ben Rimalower is an incredible director, and directing my music is #Grammy award winning composer-pianist Billy Stritch who’s worked with Liza Minnelli, Cheeta Rivera, and Linda Lavin, just to name a few! I had the good fortune to meet and perform with Billy on the Broadway stage singing "L-O-V-E" by Natalie Cole during a benefit show for Broadway Cares. He gets me and I love him!
I am currently doing an NYC run of my show, #CountessAndFriends, May 15 – June 29, at Feinstein’s 54 Below wearing Jovani Fashions. While the next two shows are sold out, please add you name to the wait list. If the other shows sell out, I’ll add more!! For tickets, go to CountessLuann.com.
Until next week, don’t forget life is a cabaret, “my friends.”
