Carole Radziwill Did the Most Glam Photo Shoot, and We Want All the Clothes
The Real Housewives of New York City author was the picture of glamour in designer duds.
Carole Radziwill recently posed on a city rooftop in a tomato-red dress by Christian Siriano, and cuddled her dog Baby while dripping in Marc Jacobs sequins. OK, so the looks were part of a Refinery29 shoot and interview. But as you'll see below, high-end fashion suits Carole in a major way.
Of course, it's not like the veteran journalist is any stranger to style. Fashion icon Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy was one of The Real Housewives of New York City pal's closest friends, after all, and she still owns a few dresses that belonged to the famously chic fashion exec. Those pieces aren't the only items in Carole's wardrobe that bring back sweet memories: She also keeps her late husband Anthony Radziwill's sneakers, Swiss army watch, and his gold wedding band.
And speaking of memories, Carole can remember what she wore to her first job interview for a position at ABC News, where she would go on to work for 15 years. Fun fact: the lewk was inspired by actress Holly Hunter.
"I’d recently seen a movie called Broadcast News with Holly Hunter, and in the film, she’s wearing a black skirt with a matching peplum and a brooch; I loved it,” Carole told Refinery29. “I was like, ‘I’m so perfect. I look like Holly Hunter. I’m gonna get this job in news.’ So, I go to the interview and the woman who I’m interviewing with asks me a bunch of questions — I knew what was going on; you kind of fake-it-till-you-make-it a little bit — and she gave me the job. But on the way out, she said, ‘Oh, and by the way, we don’t really dress up that much.’ It was devastating to me."
Less devestating are the fabulous threads that Carole wore in the photos below. Her getups included a sequin evening gown by Marc Jacobs, an embellished velvet gown by Monse, and a colorful, sheer blouse and cigarette pants by Cushnie et Ochs. She accessorized with sleek and simple earrings from Lady Grey as well as transparent mules by Yeezy and cute python sandals by Calvin Klein 205W39NYC.
