Margaret Josephs Ditched Her Pigtails for a New Hairstyle Inspired by Marilyn Monroe
Makeup artist Priscilla DiStasio broke down the products she used to help the RHONJ pal serve Marilyn vibes.
Margaret Josephs' signature hairstyle is pigtails. But, The Real Housewives of New Jersey pal does venture outside of the two-ponytail box from time to time — especially if it means she can pay homage to a timeless style icon.
On March 29, the Macbeth Collection designer showed off a glamorous, retro-tinged hairstyle on Instagram. But displaying the final look, Margaret shared snippets of her getting-ready process with fans.
As she headed downtown in a leopard-print scarf and oversize rollers in her hair, Margaret told the camera: "Well, classic Marge in rollers, going to another event in the city. I will be glamifying there. This is not a bad look to attend an event. It really does resemble me, and what I stand for: vintage glam, leopard, rollers ..."
Once the final look was achieved, Margaret posted another snap. "Channeling my inner Marilyn," she wrote, to accompany a photo of herself wearing short blonde waves, a smoky eye with dramatic lashes, and a glossy nude lip.
The Jersey-based beauty — who was at New York City's Dream Downtown hotel — tagged hairstylist Matthew Gucci and the 'Wives favorite makeup artist, Priscilla DiStasio, in the snap. She also posted playful, Marilyn-Monroe-theme emjoi, including a diamond and a pair of puckered-up, bright red lips.
Indeed, this is "not a bad look" at all! And if you want to know how to replicate it, you're in luck. Distasio broke down all the products she used in the glamorous look on Instagram. So, here's the scoop:
The look was created using Farsali's rose-gold elixir, which gives skin a boost of hydration and a dewy glow. Other products that left Margaret's skin looking flawless included Nars' matte foundation, Too Faced Born This Way concealer, Sleek Makeup's highlighting palette in Cleopatra's Kiss, and Tarte's cheek stain in Glisten.
Margaret's eye makeup included MAC's Lingering brow pencil and Wunder2 Wunderbrow brow gels in blonde and brunette. On her lids, Priscilla dusted on shadows from Anastasia Cosmetics; she capped off the glam with a full set of lashes from Lashaholic.
On Margaret's pout, Priscilla used Rincon Cosmetics liquid lipstick in Pure, topped with Urban Decay's lip gloss in Urban Cowgirl. Sealed with a kiss!
