Stephanie Hollman Is Showing Us Her Favorite Room in Her New Dallas Mansion
The hand-painted wallpaper costs how much??!!
The Real Housewives of Dallas cast never disappoints when it comes to home décor, and Stephanie Hollman is no exception. The mom of two pulled back the curtain on her new 8,600-square-foot home for us, so we get to peek on (and geek out over) even more details of her $1.7 million renovation. (Background: The house was up for auction for $8.9 million in late 2016 and Stephanie and her husband Travis reportedly won the property for $5 million.)
First up, Stephanie introduces the formal dining room. “This is my most favorite room because it’s so beautiful and elegant and … I have not had one meal in here, I’m not gonna lie! But I hope to,” she said.
The cozy room features a gorgeous circular wooden table that is home to a lazy Susan in it’s center — perfect for family-style gathers. The dining room’s real showstopper, however, are the walls. They feature Gracie wallpaper — yep, the same ones Architectural Digest profiled in a review titled, “The Case for Thousand Dollar Wallpaper.” What’s so fab about Gracie paper? Well, for one, this isn’t any old wallpaper. It’s a hand-painted “chinoiserie” wall covering. And — wait for it — each panel costs between $600 and $1,000. Is it gorgeous? Yes. Is it expensive? Let’s answer that with a Dallas-approved, “Hell, yes!”
And because Stephanie is so extra when it comes to her home design, she actually had her switch covers hand painted to match the wallpaper. Holy attention to details, Stephanie!
