The body positive moment has a ways to go in Dallas, to hear The Real Housewives of Dallas' debutante D'Andra Simmons tell it. D'Andra just opened up about the overwhelming societal expectation she feels when it comes to body image.

How to Watch

Catch up on The Real Housewives of Dallas on Peacock or the Bravo App.

"In Dallas, there's a huge amount of pressure — I call it the little L.A," she told Page Six in a new video. “All the women have to be glamorous and thin and basically look like they’re stepping out of a photo shoot every time they leave their house."

D'Andra continued: “My mother has perfected the smokey eye at 8 a.m.! So she’s never been overweight a day in her life. She’s just this gorgeous, I mean statuesque woman and she always has been. And to keep up with all the beautiful women and what you’re supposed to be — you’re supposed to be glamorous. You’re supposed to be classy. You’re supposed to be thin. A size 2 would be preferable. I’m a size 6 so I’m a little bit over the limit!”

D'Andra recently said that her biggest fear is worrying about her weight. She told People magazine: "I’ve always worried about my weight, I’ve always had a weight problem and all these girls are so thin."

If you ask us, D'Andra, you're looking fabulous just as you are.
