Yolanda Hadid Is So Obsessed With the Health Benefits of This Drink, She's Making Her Own

In a recent interview with W Magazine, Yolanda Hadid confessed that she's not too wrapped up in  her social media feed. But, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum does keep up with the healing benefits of botanicals.

The mom of three said: "I’m reading a book on botanicals, which I’m studying right now, because... I’m kind of thinking of starting to develop a gin, so I want to be educated." Wait. Stop the record. We could be drinking Yolanda Hadid-branded gin in our next G&T?

Indeed, it sounds like the Dutch-born beauty is getting serious about the prospect of gracing our bars with a brand new bottle. "I’m growing so many things right now, and I’m reading a book about lavender, essential oils, and how to build a distillery to actually make my own essential oils at home. Botanicals and farming and things are really what I’m wrapped up in at the moment," Yolanda said. 

To back up, this all came about when Yolanda visited a dentist's office in Switzerland. Along with (presumably) electric toothbrushes, this particular office sold — you guessed it — gin. "They explained that there’s a lot of healing properties in [gin] — if you drink only one a day, it works as a kidney flush and flushes out toxins," Yolanda said.

"Then I started reading studies about people that drink a gin and tonic every day and the health benefits, and so I’m really obsessed with it. When I get something in my head, I want to read the facts and understand it, so that’s how I got to this book on botanicals."

We can only presume that the budding connoisseur has a cocktail in hand as she studies up. And, of course, that the soon-to-bill distillery will have a clear fridge.
