Kandi Burruss Has Huge News About Her Restaurant, Old Lady Gang
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom is making money moves.
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker opened their first restaurant Old Lady Gang in Atlanta in March 2017, a tribute to the Southern comfort cooking of her Mama Joyce and aunts Bertha Jones and Norah Wilcox. The Real Housewives of Atlanta couple announced in April that they'd be opening a second location... and now they've just shared another update — and it's major!
"I have been keeping this to myself but now I can finally announce that we will have an @oldladygang in the #PhillipsArena [sic]!!!!" Kandi posted Wednesday night on Instagram. "I’m so excited! Tonight they unveiled some of the new things they’re bringing to the newly renovated arena. I’m thankful to be a part of that. I’m also thankful that the first concert that will be in the new #PhillipsArena [sic] will be the #SoSoDef tour! So I get to be on stage & then meet you at my restaurant in the food court..."
Old Lady Gang has created a new dish to serve at Philips Arena called the Soul Sandwich, which has fried chicken breast, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese between buns. The clever creation is suitable for arena eating, which often happens on the walk back to your seat.
The grand opening of Philips Arena is on October 20, with a concert by the Eagles, with the So So Def 25th Anniversary event featuring Kandi and her R&B group Xscape on October 21.
