Super-Fit Lea Michele Reveals Exactly What She Eats in a Day
Newly engaged singer-actress Lea Michele dishes on her go-to diet, from morning to night.
When Lea Michele showed us the inside of her fridge, she convinced us that she's superhuman. And now, she's walking us through exactly how she translates those ingredients into the meals and snacks that sustain her throughout her busy days.
In a conversation with The Feast about her partnership with Marriott International's revamped travel experiences platform Marriott Moments, newly engaged Michele admitted that her honeymoon plans are still totally up for grabs as she focuses on traveling for her current tour — and while she modifies her diet while on the road as is a requirement for travel life, she goes straight for the same go-tos she loves when eating at home in her own environment.
"I don't eat meat. I keep my home almost completely vegan. I make sure that I have the best, most healthy ingredients available to me all the time at home," she said off the bat. To that end, "I love making a really great vegetable stir fry in the morning — with spinach, broccoli, carrots, a little salsa on top, and avocado. It's one of my favorite breakfasts."
Next, she said, "For lunch, I'll do a really great salad or soup. And then for dinner, it's open: I love cooking outside on my grill, or going [out] to a great dinner. When I'm cooking at home, it's usually breakfast and lunch."
Michele said she thinks accessibility to healthy snack foods is "the most important thing" to maintain a healthy lifestyle. "I always keep some carrots or blueberries [with me]. I eat [vegan nutrition bars] Macrobars, Kind bars, or even just a small bag of almonds just so that I have healthy things on hand at all times."
