Kim Kardashian Doesn't Know Where Pickles Come From and "I Don't Care to Research"

The year was 2003, and Jessica Simpson wondered aloud: "Is this chicken that I have, or is this fish?" The Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica chicken-of-the-sea moment went down in infamy as one of the most curious — and curiously entertaining — food questions of all time. But, thanks to a recent question from Kim Kardashian, Jessica's flub may have found its 2018 match. Let us fill you in on Kim's confusion surrounding pickles. 

In a video that she released on her app, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians sister shared a video of herself reading old tweets. As it turns out, back in 2010, Kim had broadcast her confusion over a pickle's contents with her considerable number of social media followers. Asking whether cucumbers are pickles, she had added: "I did not know this at all." 

So, eight years later, has she gained some clarity surrounding the sour snacks? "I still don’t even know, and I don’t care to research,” she said in the video. “But is a cucumber a pickle?”

After Kardashian's friend and former assistant Stephanie Shepherd tried to explain, the KKW Beauty founder thought she had it down. "So the pickle comes from the cucumber, because it’s pickled?” Shepherd replied: "A cucumber becomes a pickle." 

Got that? (And in case you're wondering, none of this is a euphemism.)
