Khloe Kardashian Claps Back at False Body-After-Baby Headlines: “It’s Really Setting the Wrong Tone”
It's a nope for Khloe Kardashian... and anyone else who actually gets it.
Khloe Kardashian his famously into fitness, and has been open about her wish to get back to the gym after giving birth to a baby girl in April. Or, as she once put it on Twitter: "I can NOT WAIT to f**k up the gym when it’s time lol. BEAST MODE is dying to return!!" Well, it looks like beast mode doesn't just apply to Khloe at the gym. The new mom can also get pretty fierce when it comes time to shut down the critics — as should anyone, whose body is the subject of public chatter.
Here's what went down: After reading false reports that she'd lost a ton of weight following her pregnancy by following a fad diet, Khloe took to Twitter to set the record straight. But first, let us pause to pre-applaud her on shutting down the trolls. After all, who are they — and who is anyone? — to weigh in on a new mom's lifestyle choices? The amount of pressure on any mother of a newborn is already staggering. It's tough enough to stay sane without having to try to eat and work out in a way that will satisfy the public. But, we digress.
Here's what Khloe wrote on Twitter: "I truly dislike when people report I’ve lost a tremendous amount of weight in a short amount of time or when people claim I’m doing these ridiculous diets. It’s really setting the wrong tone. I believe in making lifestyle changes when it comes to my food."
The Revenge Body star went on to explain the way she approaches her diet, which — as you might suspect — has everything to do with health, and nothing to do with maintaining an unrealistic, "ideal" size:
Finally, Khloe tweeted out some words of encouragement to followers who may be on the path to better health themselves.
Now, that's setting a much better tone.
