Paparazzi Nabbed a Shot of Chrissy Teigen's "Most Intimate Grocery Cart Items" — And She's Owning the Hell Out of It
"Turns out the paps actually come inside the grocery store," she shared with 16 million Instagram followers.
Chrissy Teigen is nothing if not candid, and the model and cookbook author fills her social-media feed with real-life confessions. (Exhibit A: She may be an A-list celebrity, but Teigen can't always find her toilet when she really needs it.) Still, there are lines that are just not meant to be crossed — and what the famous foodie does in the grocery store, should stay in the grocery store.
Unfortunately, the paparazzi had other plans on February 7. It seemed like an ordinary day for Teigen, who had headed out on a routine grocery run with her one-year-old daughter, Luna. But, while she was filling her cart with everything from onions to canned tomatoes and eggs, the pregnant star got caught by cameras.
Posting the incriminating shot on her own Instagram feed, Teigen wrote: "I used to assume people who got photographed in grocery stores weren’t really buying stuff they like and were getting paid for something but turns out the paps actually come inside the grocery store and capture your most intimate grocery cart items." She added: "This is a travesty," before a few well-placed hash tags that spelled out "keep carts private" and "sacred space."

So now everyone knows that she (OK, and/or Luna) love Cap'n Crunch — and, as she's wont to do, Teigen is taking the whole thing in stride and with humor. Sure, she called it a "travesty" — but she also shared the pap shot with her 16 million Instagram followers, and it has close to a million likes so far. So you know she's owning that cereal purchase, as she tends to do with all things (which is why fans adore her).
And and a whole gang of her most enthusiastic Instagram commenters are loving it too. "I LOVE how you keep it real," reads one sample comment. "Live your life Boo... Captain Crunch is the REAL DEAL."
