Cardi B's Baby Shower Menu: "Nah" to Hors D'Oeuvres, Yes to Red Wine

When your first baby is your partner's fourth baby by four different women, keeping with longstanding traditions isn't exactly your top priority for your baby shower. Such is the case for Cardi B, who has big ideas for the bash to celebrate her upcoming arrival with boyfriend Offset.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the "Bodak Yellow" singer shared some details of the plans in the pipeline. "I want a lit baby shower," she told the mag. "My baby shower's not starting at no 5:00. My s--- is going to start at 9 p.m. because that's how I celebrate, that's how Caribbean people celebrate."

Fair enough. What fun can happen when the sun is still out anyway, right?

Indeed, she continued, "I don't like baby showers that be at 5 p.m. in the backyard, eating, cooking hors d'oeuvres. Nah."

Cardi has her sights more on celebratory indulgences of the liquid variety. "S---, I might even drink some red wine," she joked (or "joked") to Rolling Stone. "Red wine's healthy, right?"

This remark stopped the laughter coming from Offset's family members, who were in the room for the Rolling Stone interview: "Don't let Mama see you drinking that red wine," one said, referring to Offset's mother. "She's going to have a fit." 

But Cardi's not going to be a regular mom — she's going to be a cool mom. And she's already preparing an on-message baby shower to kick off her new chapter. It's going to be lit.
