Yolanda and David Foster’s Fairy-Tale Wedding
Watch intimate moments from the 'RHOBH' star’s magical day.
Every Thursday, celebrate #TBT with us as we open the vault to share photos and videos of Bravolebrities before they were famous--or revisit memorable moments from our shows. This week, we’re throwing it back to our favorite Dutch Housewife’s magnificent nuptials with David Foster on 11/11/11.
Most Beverly Hills Housewives fans are familiar with Yolanda Foster’s sweet, customary greeting she gives whenever her husband, David, walks into the room. “Hello my love!” she says, without skipping a beat. While their relationship has always exuberated unity and passion on our television screens during RHOBH, seeing intimate moments of Yolanda and David actually tying the knot literally takes the cake.
“I designed a ceremony with 120 of our closest friends and family gathered in a circle around us,” Yolanda has said of the beautiful occasion. Described as the most romantic day in her life, Yolanda wore a strapless, beaded Monique Lhuillier wedding gown and was escorted down the isle by her then 12-year-old son, Anwar, set to music by a 40-piece orchestra. Bella and Gigi followed in tow serving as her bridesmaids.
“You are the most amazing woman on this planet. Tonight I’m the luckiest man on the planet,” David professed to Yolanda in an ode of love. Eric Benét’s ballad "The Last Time" is spot on during the video, and we’d expert nothing more given David holds writing and producing credits on the song.
Throughout the actual ceremony, the music was as spectacular as you’d expect. In addition to Benét, performances ranged from a breathtaking version of “Pie Jesu” by 11-year-old opera singer, Jackie Evancho, a 50-member gospel choir who sang The Beatles' “All You Need Is Love,” to David's song “The Prayer,” performed by the legendary Andrea Bocelli.
While enjoying a five-course meal courtesy of world-famous chef Wolfgang Puck, guests were regaled with live performances by Michael Buble, Natalie Cole, Donna Summer, Peter Cetera, Baby Face, and Kenny G, among others.
“It has been an incredible six years. I pinch myself quite often to make sure that this is all for real. My husband is the most extraordinary human being I have ever met and we have the love story I always dreamed of having,” Yolanda has said.
