Sutton Stracke Reveals New Details About Her Split From Ex-Husband, Christian Stracke
On the Season 13 RHOBH After Show, Sutton is opening up like never before about her split from her former husband, Christian Strake.
On the Season 13 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, viewers watched as Sutton Stracke reflected on the difficulties she faced in her marriage to her ex-husband, Christian Stracke, which ultimately led to their demise and unfortunate split.
“When my ex-husband and I got married, we were on equal footing,” she explained in her confessional during the episode. Sutton later noted that after getting pregnant with her first child, she stopped working to become a full-time mom.
“My power diminished,” Sutton said, “this became here’s your allowance.”
The mother of three admitted that she wasn't proud of depending on her husband for money, and she eventually learned how to break free and find her independence.
Most recently, Sutton got together with her BFF, Garcelle Beauvais, on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, where they both opened up about their respective divorces. During their discussion, the Southern socialite shared new details about her separation, including how her kids found out about the news.

"I was the one that asked Christian to get out of the house," Sutton told Garcelle in the video above. She continued to explain her reasoning for separating from her former husband, noting that their issues would "turn into World War III" between them.
Initially, Sutton wasn't entirely checked out of marriage, as she remained optimistic that "therapy" could fix their differences. However, Christian decided to end things before reconciliation could happen, as he "filed" for divorce.
As for what led to him doing the deed, Sutton blamed it on Christian being "so angry at [her]" at the time.
How did Sutton Stracke's kids find out about their parents' divorce?
During her conversation with Garcelle, Sutton revealed that she and Christian waited one year after filing for annulment before informing their children of their divorce.
When Sutton and Christian announced the split to their three children - Porter, Philip, and James - they were devastated. "My children flipped. They all just started crying," Sutton mentioned about the heartbreaking experience.

Sutton was previously married to Christian Stracke, whom she has known since childhood. The two said “I Do” in May 2000 and divorced in 2016. Sutton and Christian share three kids: daughter Porter and sons Philip and James. Porter and Philip have both made appearances on RHOBH.
