Does Brittany Cartwright's Family Approve of Her Life on TV?

It's no secret that sometimes tensions can run high and the drama can flow deep for the crew on Vanderpump Rules. And Brittany Cartwright quickly learned just how intense it can get at SUR when she became the subject of a salacious rumor about an alleged hook-up with Kristen Doute. She denies it happened — but before she even got to tell the world her side of the story, her family back home in Kentucky had already seen all the drama play out in their living rooms. And that sometimes makes it hard for them to tune in and see what Brittany's life is like in Los Angeles.

"They thought it was really cool [that I'm on the show]. I mean the first two episodes of this season they were all super upset, but I think they're already getting over it," Brittany told The Daily Dish. "It was definitely hard for my family to watch, but they support me. They're there for me, so they've got my back — no matter what."

In fact, despite the miles between them, Brittany remains tight with her close-knit family. And as you can see, her boyfriend, Jax Taylor, appears to have the approval of the Cartwrights.

In fact, they recently made a stop in the City of Angels to spend some time with Brittany and Jax, and their crew."I'm super close with my mom. My family is amazing. On my mom's side we all are next door neighbors," she said. "And I'm super close to my mamaw, who is my grandmother. And it's hard to not be home when something bad happens, like my grandfather passed away [in 2015]. So it's just hard when stuff like that happens and you're not able to be there with your family. And I have some really great friends. I'm still best friends with people I knew in elementary school. It's just hard not being able to see those people as much as I would like."
