Was Reza Farahan's Family Supportive of His Surprise Wedding?
The #Shahs newlywed spills wedding secrets and reveals why his family wasn't present.
When Reza Farahan and Adam Neely finally wed on Shahs of Sunset this week, the duo did so in an intimate ceremony attended by their closest friends. No one outside the immediate Shahs circle got an invite to the Palm Springs nuptials, which may have fans wondering why they opted to keep the bash so small.
"It was all about Adam. I just wanted to, like, do that thang and we’re actually planning something for our families," Reza revealed on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, before elaborating a bit more about what attendees can expect at that future celebration in an interview with The Daily Dish.
"We actually were talking about it on the way here," Reza told us. "Trying to figure out where to do it. I was suggesting that we wait until we have our new house and do it at the house, but we haven't locked that down yet. It's just going to be a reception, a huge party for obviously a lot of people who didn't get to be there, so we want to include extended family and friends."
That being said, the Farahans and the Neelys have been totally cool with the pair's decision to wed without them. "They were super supportive, so some of them wished they could have been there but everyone was really understanding and very supportive," Reza said, adding that the wedding has also given Adam a new boost of confidence after Reza called off their originally scheduled wedding during Season 4. "His confidence level and comfort level have gone way up, like a mini Stella Got Her Groove Back situation," Reza said. "He's like feeling himself now that he's Adam Farahan."
With a wedding out of the way and a big reception still in the works, there's one more thing the newlyweds are planning. "We haven't [gone on a honeymoon yet]. We actually went to Hawaii for a week to chillax and then I told Adam that he could pick anywhere in the world and for a week wherever he wants to go and we can go there," Reza said, before hinting at where his love wants to go. "They're very Fiji-oriented."
