Vicki Gunvalson Reveals What's Next for Her Son-in-Law After His Career with the Marines
Here's how Ryan Culberson is adjusting to his new OC life.
Vicki Gunvalson's family has started a new chapter. The Real Housewives of Orange County's son-in-law Ryan Culberson moved back to be with his family in California and officially completed his time with the the Marine Corps this summer.
Vicki recently told The Daily Dish that Ryan is doing "great" in his new life in the OC, and he's been working with Save a Warrior, an organization that helps veterans, active duty service members, and first responders with Post-Traumatic Stress. All the while, Ryan is figuring out his next steps. "Now he's trying to find his new normal, right? You're always a Marine, semper fi and all that good stuff, but he's got to now find out what he wants to do as a civilian for a career," Vicki shared. "So he's doing some soul-searching, and I trust Ryan is going to be fine."
But at least now Ryan and his wife, Vicki's daughter Briana Culberson, have some stability in their lives now that he's back in the OC for good. "The fact that this is the first time they've been together through their five years of marriage where they know he's not gonna be deployed and they know that they don't have to live apart, it's good for them. It's good for the family. The boys [sons Troy, 5, and Owen, 3] adore Ryan, and they adore [Vicki's boyfriend] Steve [Lodge], so we're a good family," Vicki gushed. "I just want them happy. Whatever they need to do, I just want them happy."
Vicki admitted that she doesn't get to see Briana as much these days now that her husband is back home. "But that's OK. Their marriage is the most important thing, and I just support and love her so much and love those babies. They're just my everything," she said. "They're doing staycations or going to the Montage [hotel in Laguna Beach, California] for a night. They're going to Disneyland, and they're going down to San Diego doing the zoos. They're doing so many things that their family was missing out on when he was gone."
The OG of the RHOC previously opened up to The Daily Dish about how her daughter is doing after being diagnosed with lupus last year. Find out why Briana is still "struggling" today, according to Vicki, below.
