Vicki Gunvalson Had Steve Lodge Right by Her Side for a Recent Medical Procedure That "Has to Be Done" (UPDATED)
The RHOC OG shared that she was seeking treatment, noting that it was "not plastic surgery."
UPDATE (Nov. 15, 2018, 10:00 a.m.): The Real Housewives of Orange County's Vicki Gunvalson gave a health update on Instagram following a medical procedure earlier this week. On Nov. 13, she wrote that she was having "having a blockage cleared from my inner ear caused by the cholesteatoma." Now on Nov. 15, she posted a video of herself heading back to work and looking healthy as ever. In the video she said, "I slept 24 hours yesterday and now I'm ready to go back to work. I had the cholesteatoma removed; they didn't even have to cut me. They went inside the ear and for all of you that have a cholesteatoma, keep up on it. It does grow back." In her caption, Vicki wrote, "Thank you all for your messages of support and prayers. Everything went very well and after many hours of sleep, I’m ready to go back to work [at Coto Financial]. Also, thanks to my fine nurse [Steve Lodge]."
The original story continues below.
When Vicki Gunvalson needed to have a medical procedure done this week, The Real Housewives of Orange County OG knew exactly who would be available for a ride and some emotional support. That person is, of course, her longtime boyfriend, Steve Lodge. Vicki confirmed on Tuesday that she was getting some medical attention for a cholesteatoma, which is defined as "an abnormal, noncancerous skin growth that can develop in the middle section of your ear, behind the eardrum. It may be a birth defect, but it's most commonly caused by repeated middle ear infections. A cholesteatoma often develops as a cyst, or sac, that sheds layers of old skin."
She further shared on Instagram that she was "having a blockage cleared from my inner ear caused by the cholesteatoma. I hope to be back at the office this afternoon. Glad I have my driver [Steve] with me. #painintheear #notplasticsurgery #hastobedone."
Further evidence suggests that Steve is definitely one very supportive beau — and Vicki is not shy about sharing the lengths he goes to pamper his lady. And that sometimes includes running her soothing baths after a long work day, which happened to be the night before her medical procedure in this particular instance.
"After a 12 hour day at [Coto Financial], look what I just came home to. Thank you [Steve]. I [heart] you," she wrote on Instagram. "#justwhatineeded #thankful #grateful."
