Can Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix Afford to Buy a House?

Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix are thinking about taking their relationship to the next level. And no, we're not talking about marriage or kids. 

The Vanderpump Rules couple is hoping to move into a home of their own in the near future. They've even started looking at houses, as we saw during Monday night's episode of Vanderpump Rules. 

Not only is that a giant step for the couple relationship-wise, but it's also obviously a huge financial decision, one which Tom didn't seem so sure that he and Ariana could afford at the moment. Tom opened up more about saving up for a house on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Monday, telling one fan in the above clip that it's "about getting yourself in line to buy a house, like with your credit and everything and getting loans and stuff like that." 

Tom went on to say that his current apartment with Ariana isn't exactly ideal. Or, as he put it, "That turd has a lot of polish on it." But Tom and Ariana are keeping their eyes on the prize. "We save so much money. There's no point in moving into another place because all that'll do is slow things down in getting a house," Tom explained on WWHL. "It helps motivate us to want to get a house."

But to Ariana, the apartment she shares with Tom, as well as her younger brother Jeremy Madix, is certainly not something to complain about. "The only thing crappy about this place is the carpet," she recently tweeted about the space while praising its value. 

Ariana opened up about her plans for her future with Tom during an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this season, and she shared that buying a house with her boyfriend is on her "five year bucket list." 

In fact, becoming a homeowner is something the Vanderpump Rules couple has been thinking about for a while. Ariana previously shared with The Daily Dish why it would mean so much to her if she and Tom owned a home. "I've been wanting to buy a house for so long that I think that when I'm finally a homeowner, I will feel a sense of relief, in a way. I get so inspired when I see other people's houses or when I think of my home growing up and all the things that we did to improve the home and all the things that you can do," she said. "And I just think that to be a homeowner is such a — I don't want to say it's such a grown-up thing — but I think that it is a huge milestone, it's a big life milestone. Man, I'll just be so stoked. I'll just love that."
