Tom Schwartz Teases His Next Real Estate Move After Spending $100K on Rent: "So Salty"

Q: Is Tom Schwartz moving in with Tom Sandoval?

In the video above, which is a preview of Part 1 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion, host Andy Cohen asks Schwartz for an update on his feelings about moving into Sandoval's house. "I go back and forth because it's a beautiful home [and] I miss having a backyard," Schwartz says. "But I have some reservations about living there, just given the history." Lisa Vanderpump has thoughts on the matter, asking Schwartz and Sandoval, "Why do you want to live together? You're both grownups for goodness sake. You do that when you're twenty." As Schwartz replies, "We were looking for an investment property," Sandoval defends the two of them living together by noting, "My dad is in his 60s. He has roommates." Schwartz goes on to explain more about why he would want to own a property with Sandoval after renting his two-bedroom apartment since 2022. "I've put 100 grand into rent in the past two years, and I feel so salty about that, without building any equity." Lisa clarifies, "So you want to buy something together?" and Andy then quips, "What could go wrong?"

Throughout the final episodes of Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Tom Schwartz debated a big decision: Should he move in with Tom Sandoval (and pay $6,000 in rent to do so)?

Although Schwartz initially turned down the offer, he had a change of heart on Season 11, Episode 14, when he told Sandoval, "I think I'm ready to commit."

Tom Schwartz reveals he wants to buy a house in Minnesota

While Schwartz and Sandoval's investment property would presumably be in California, he also has dreams of buying a home in his home state.

In a recent interview with Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, Tom was asked if he owns a cabin in Minnesota, and while the answer is "no," he is hoping that will change down the road.

"That’s the dream," he shared. "We’re talking about long-term[.] I don’t know if I want to live there, but hopefully, I’m successful enough to have a cool lake cabin in Minnesota."
