Watch Kenya Moore Get Emotional Hearing Her Baby's Heartbeat for the First Time
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom-to-be shares one of her first ultrasounds during her pregnancy.
As Kenya Moore gets ready to welcome her first child with husband Marc Daly later this year, she's experiencing all of the wonderful firsts that come with pregnancy. And now The Real Housewives of Atlanta entrepreneur is sharing those special moments with all of us.
Kenya posted a video of one of her first ultrasounds after she became pregnant via IVF on Instagram Monday. The video shows the camera focusing on the ultrasound of the baby and features Kenya's reaction to hearing her little one's heartbeat for the first time. "It's so fast!" an emotional Kenya can be heard saying in the clip.
In the post, Kenya also showed her gratitude for all of the love and support she's gotten so far during her road to motherhood. "My heart is overwhelmed by all the kindness and well wishes many of you have sent our family," she wrote on Instagram. "I felt compelled to share this video of one of our early ultrasounds when I saw my baby's heart beating for the first time. I cried like a baby myself! I couldn't believe this miracle was growing inside me. And its heart was beating so fast!"
Kenya noted in the post that, "It was too early to tell the gender [of the baby]."
She ended the post by thanking everyone "for the love, prayers, and hope."
Kenya expressed a similar sentiment earlier in the day on Twitter on Monday. "Just when I lost hope in humanity, so many people have expressed joy for me," she tweeted. "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
The RHOA mom-to-be previously shared the first glimpse of her baby bump in a photo taken at the Atlanta Ultimate Women's Expo this weekend where she gave the keynote address.
Kenya has not yet revealed the baby's gender. In fact, she told PEOPLE in May that she hopes to keep that a surprise until the baby's birth. "We’re going to try to not find out. We want to be surprised and we want to make it as natural as we can at this point. We just want a healthy baby," she shared. "And it doesn’t matter to either of us — boy, girl, we don’t really care."
RHOA pal Shamea Morton is also expecting her first child with husband Gerald Mwangi around Thanksgiving, she confirmed to Us Weekly in May. Shamea is planning on revealing the gender of her baby on the couple's first wedding anniversary on July 22, she told Us Weekly.
