The Hills Is Coming Back and Landon Clements Has Some Thoughts on the Matter
The Southern Charm alum has a surprisingly close connection to the show.
Ready for some big news? The Hills is coming back! In a time when reboots of TV classics are rote (thank you, universe, for Jersey Shore Family Vacation) this doesn't come as a huge surprise. But still, people are champing at the bit for the chance to see Speidi and co. all these years later. And, Landon Clements is one of those people.
First, here's the scoop: on August 20, at the MTV Video Music Awards, the network announced the 2019 release of The Hills: New Beginnings. In the trailer — which was scored, of course, by Natasha Bedingfield's "Unwritten" — Stephanie Pratt muses: "It’s like we’re all growing up. It’s weird." Does anyone else have chills?
True, some of the biggest names from the OG series, including Kristin Cavallari, won't appear in the reboot. But, fret not: Viewers will be able to catch up with Jason Wahler, Audrina Partridge, Justin Brescia, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, and (presumably) Speidi's whole collection of crystals.
And if that thrills you, you're not alone. Upon hearing the news, Landon tweeted: "So exciting," and tagged Heidi — because they're friends!
That's right: The Southern Charm alum was tight with both Montag and Lauren Conrad back in the day, and appeared briefly on The Hills as Montag's co-worker at Bolthouse Productions.
The more you know!
