Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif Help Playmates in Need in Botched Mid-Season Premiere
"I was born to help Playmates restore their breasts back to normal," says the RHOC hubby.
On the Tuesday (October 6), Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif changed the lives of three patients — and despite veering into some serious emotional territory, they even managed to slip in some (potty) humor. The mid-season premiere featured playmates (and former Girls Next Door stars) Kristina and Kariss Shannon, as well as single mom, Luci, who all hoped that the duo could fix their previously janky surgeries. Let's take a look at the best moments, shall we?
Terry Is Living the Dream
Dr. Dubrow shared that fixing Kristina and Kariss' breast augmentations was a personal career high. "In my professional opinion, the Shannon twins, they're Playmates, they want big boobs. That's what they're whole thing is," he said. "This is my calling in life. I was born to help Playmates restore their breasts back to normal." And, yes, he does think he did a pretty good job. "I think I may have just earned Dr. Nassif an invitation to the mansion," he noted.
Boys Will Be Boys
The kookiest moment of the night included Terry learning a little Lebanese from his colleague. "Can I ask you a question? When we were in your office a few minutes ago and you walked up to me and announced 'I'm gonna fuss...' and then all of a sudden a wafting stink [was] everywhere and I realized 'fuss' means fart," Terry recalled to Paul, who tried to deny the whole thing, with a laugh. The moment led to this new office policy from Terry, "Can we just hold a moratorium on farting, just for today?" he said. "Don't fuss around me, please?" Noted.
But it was Luci's own medical developments that led to an emotional reveal.
Paul Fights Back Tears
Luci hoped Paul could fix her nose, which was severely injured following a motorbike accident in Italy. She wanted a nose job to try and repair the demage, but things took a turn after her consultation. Upon doing a CT scan on the mother, it was discovered that she had two brain aneurysms and had he performed corrective surgery she could have died. From there, Paul remembered his late mom who died following a procedure. "Luci having aneurysms hits home for me because my mom had revision heart surgery. I don't really know what happened in the operating room, but basically it didn't go really well," he recalled. "She lost a lot of blood, ended being in the hospital for 30 to 45 days, got a lot of infections — then right when she was getting better got a horrible infection and died. So you have to be careful cause you never know. That still devastates me. I still think about my mom everyday. What could we have done differently before she had that surgery? I'm still upset. Bottom line is, we saved Luci. That's the best part about this."
As if you needed another reason to tune into the E! series, beginning October 13 Real Housewives of Orange County mom — and Terry's wife! — Heather Dubrow will co-host the after show Post Op alongside the doctors.
Until next week, you can check out Heather revealing the stuff she can and can't live without, below.
