Terry Dubrow Thinks New Quiet Riot Singer Will Do His Late Brother's Voice Justice
The #RHOC hubby gave his blessing to the band's new lead vocalist, James Durbin.
Get ready to rock because American Idol Season 10 alum James Durbin will officially front Quiet Riot, the band that Terry Dubrow's late brother, Kevin Dubrow, was the lead singer of before his death in 2007. In case you thought Terry had any hard feelings about James stepping in for his brother, you'd better think again. The 28-year-old has The Real Housewives of Orange County husband's seal of approval.
“Finally Quiet Riot gets a lead vocalist who will do my brother's voice justice,” he recently told Billboard. “Every time I watched James in American Idol I would close my eyes and I would swear he was channeling Kevin. He's got great range and the gravelly depth that launched Quiet Riot to stardom.”
While Seann Nicols' vocals will appear on the band's upcoming April 21 album release, Road Rage, Quiet Riot drummer/bandleader Frankie Banali made the call recently to have James replace him. James will make his debut with the band on March 18 in Wichita, Kansas and will focus on performing the band's older material. “I believe he and Frankie are going to do something special together, and I can't wait to him him sing the Quiet Riot classics,” Terry added. “Cheers to them all!"
