Teresa Giudice Says Dealing with Her Mother's Passing Has Been "Like a Bad Dream"
"I don't know if I'll ever get used to it," the #RHONJ mom shared.
This season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey got off to a somber start for Teresa Giudice and her family. Season 8 opened on Teresa and her brother Joe Gorga one month after their mother, Antonia Gorga, passed away.
Even though it has now been seven months since Teresa said goodbye to her mom, dealing with the loss continues to be an everyday challenge. "Thank God we're doing OK. It's sad, the loss of my mom, and you know, we're just dealing with it the best that we can. I miss her tremendously. I still can't believe she's not here. I feel like she's gonna call me later or like I'm gonna see her later," she recently shared with The Daily Dish (clip above). "It's really like a bad dream, and I'm still kind of numb over it. I don't know if I'll ever get used to it."
Still, Teresa knows that she needs to keep moving forward for the sake of her family. "I'm taking it day-by-day," she said. "And I need to be strong for my daughters and my dad now that my dad's living with me."
Teresa's 74-year-old father, Giacinto Gorga, has moved in with her and her four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana, who she said "are doing great" these days. Teresa and her brother Joe even opened up a restaurant, Gorga's Homemade Pasta & Pizza, in May, in memory of their mother.
The Garden State mom shared that the loss of her mother has not only been "devastating" to her but also to her whole family. "We're dealing with that as a family. That's the hardest thing," she said. "But I have my 74-year-old dad living with me now, and I'm wearing a lot of different hats. I'm the mom, the dad, working mom, taking care of my dad. I'm doing it all."
We'll see Teresa continue to try to heal after this tragedy during next Wednesday's RHONJ at 9/8c. Get a glimpse of her touching tribute to her late mother, below.
