Tamra Judge Shares an Update on Her Skin Cancer After Undergoing Surgery
The #RHOC fitness guru has some major news about her health.
Tamra Judge gave an update on her melanoma diagnosis on Instagram Thursday.
The Real Housewives of Orange County fitness guru shared that after undergoing surgery last week, she has found out that she is melanoma-free and her "margins are clear," she revealed in an Instagram post that showed a photo of the stitches on her backside where the skin cancer was removed.
Tamra also encouraged fans to "Save YOUR ass and get a full body skin check" in the post.
Tamra revealed in August that she had been diagnosed with melanoma in an Instagram photo that showed a dark spot on her buttocks. "I work out hard for this Booty. I was planning on competing again in November at 50 years old, but I'm not sure that's happening now. [I]t looks like God has a different plan for me," she wrote. "I don't want sympathy, I want you to save YOUR ASS and get your skin checked. This was just a small black flat freckle.... I had no idea!"
Still, Tamra remained in good spirits as she got ready to turn 50 on September 2. "[I'll] be fine because my faith is strong and my Ass ain't bad either," she shared in the post. " I've been a little sad, worried and pissed off. But we caught it early and that makes me happy."
Tamra previously documented going under the knife to remove some spots in January. She also shared that a scar on her arm from the procedure was visible during an episode of RHOC earlier this season.
Tamra's fellow Housewife Bethenny Frankel also recently underwent surgery to remove skin cancer from her face. "I have stitches on my face. I need to move on, but I haven't really been thinking about it," Bethenny told The Daily Dish earlier this week after returning to New York from Puerto Rico, where she was providing relief to those affected by Hurricane Maria. "Yesterday I had a hat on because it was sunny. But I haven't really been thinking about it. I'm going to have to get back to normal life soon. I just took a bath now and I'm going to eat something."
