Craig Conover Shares What He Really Thinks of Thomas Ravenel's New Girlfriend Ashley Jacobs

Thomas Ravenel's new girlfriend, Ashley Jacobs, has been the talk of Chucktown this season of Southern Charm. And though it looks like Ashley will have to continue to work at winning over Thomas' ex Kathryn C. Dennis, she has already gotten two thumbs up from one Charmer. 

Craig Conover dished on the newest Southern Charm significant other when The Daily Dish caught up with him earlier this spring. "Ashley's always been super nice to me. Like, she's a sweetheart to me. I'm nice to people that are nice to me. The only time I'm not is if you're not nice to someone I care about. I don't know if that's the case or not. I think they appear happy. I'm a very big supporter of letting people live their lives and doing whatever the hell you want because you only live once," Craig shared. "But Ashley's great. [She] and Thomas, I don't know what's gonna happen with them, and you'll see this year it's constantly changing. I think the only thing that stays constant with this group of friends is that nothing is actually constant. So we'll see what happens."

Still, Craig said that he's hoping for the best when it comes to Thomas and Ashley. He also teased what we can expect from Kathryn's interactions with Ashley this season of Southern Charm, considering the fact that we've already seen a preview of some major drama transpiring between them. "It's crazy because Ashley's behavior really gives Kathryn a chance to demonstrate how far she's come. And I know in the teaser, you see Kathryn react and yell, but that's basically everything coming to a head. And all year, Kathryn patiently took a lot of insults," Craig explained. "And you guys will see, sometimes sh-- kind of hits the fan."

However, Kathryn and Thomas have been able to come to a peaceful place. "[She] and Thomas are doing very well, and they've made huge strides in their custody agreement. And I don't know, she just seems happier," Craig said. "And for once, she's not the protagonist that you'd expect. When you would get to see her, something crazy's happening. This year, it's not like that. She kind of just is figuring stuff out. So I'm happy for them. I'm happy for Kathryn." 

Now that Kathryn has found health and happiness on her own, Craig said that it's going to be like meeting the Charmer all over again for fans this season. "Kathryn was always a sweetheart. I always liked Kathryn. But sometimes when you're not your healthiest self, it's never a good thing," Craig shared. "But you can't base people on that. So now that she's healthy, you get to really see the real her, and I think everyone will enjoy it."
