"Man Oh Man": Danni Baird Reflects on Kathryn C. Dennis' Journey Following the Southern Charm Season 5 Finale
"I’ve witnessed you show restraint and poise in the unlikeliest of circumstances," she shared.
After a few challenging years, Kathryn C. Dennis has gotten her life majorly back on track this season of Southern Charm. And the Southern Charm crew has definitely taken notice. Everyone from Shep Rose to Cameran Eubanks to even Patricia Altschul has shared how impressed they are by the new Kathryn.
But no one is more proud of how far the Southern Charm mom has come than her good friend Danni Baird. Danni shared on Twitter Thursday night that she has been "so proud" of Kathryn this season of Southern Charm.
Kathryn responded to Danni's tweet, "I love you boo!!!" And then Danni continued to sing Kathryn's praises. "You more, my love. Over the last two years I’ve witnessed you show restraint and poise in the unlikeliest of circumstances. More-so than I could even comprehend," she shared on Twitter. "I just hope I can inspire someone else in the same capacity that you have me. Proud of you, boo."
Danni has long been one of Kathryn's biggest supporters, but especially this season during her battle with depression and anxiety and her heated moments with Ashley Jacobs. Danni previously opened up to The Daily Dish about why Kathryn's confrontation with Ashley during the group's Hilton Head Island trip made her "the maddest I have ever been in my life." "Above all else, it's because Kathryn is like a little sister to me, and I've seen the amount of work and self-focus, like she's really paid attention to being constructive and focusing on her kids and her life. And she's been through an unimaginable amount of BS," she explained. "And to watch somebody just come in and try to barrel over her really kind of struck me."
But Kathryn should be commended for the way she handled the situation, according to Danni. "I'm really, really proud of her. Her kids are the light of her life, and her focus is really on them, and she's just been able to navigate this dignity and composure that a lot of people wouldn't be able to do in the circumstances that have been thrown in front of her. All I can say is, 'Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud.' Ashley was a siren with a megaphone and amplifier, and Kathryn just maintained her dignity," she shared. "I think it's a testament to how much progress she really has made. I'm really proud of her, and I think it's really obvious. Viewers, I'm sure, see it. Everybody sees it. And I think it's well deserved. The girl needed a break. Give the girl a break! And she has earned every ounce of positivity that she gets."
Kathryn will open up more about this season of Southern Charm when the crew is back together at this season's reunion, which kicks off Thursday at 9/8c. See what's in store for the sit-down, below.
