Kairo Whitfield Just Romanced Fantasia... in a Music Video
His #RHOA "momager" explained how "different" it is to watch her son grow up in front of the camera.
Watch out world because Kairo Whitfield's career recently heated up with a cameo in Fantasia's latest music video for "When I Met You." And while the video does wrap with a happy ending for the singer and her love interest, that Prince Charming isn't Kairo. You see The Real Housewives of Atlanta son just so happens to play a bit of a bad boy who isn't just romancing Fantasia, but also another girl. Fantasia breaks it off with him and ends up marrying her perfect guy.
We can only imagine how Shereé Whitfield felt seeing her little boy getting snuggly with the singer and another co-star. "It was different. You don't want to see your baby being a love interest of a grown woman, but I'm proud of him," she told The Daily Dish. "I just see so much more for him."
Shereé put her Kris Jenner hat on when she found out there was interest for her model son to take his career to a new level. "I got a call and they said they needed him in this video, and as momager I'm like, 'Yes,'" she recalled. "First of all, I called him cause he's always been so quiet and reserved. And I'm like, 'Kairo, you'll have to be her love interest. You may have to touch her. Are you OK with that? Are you going to be nervous?' And he's like, 'Mom, I'm never nervous.' And I'm like, 'Oh, OK, we got this then. Let's do it.' He did it."
You may see Kairo heating up your screens more often in the future. "I've gotten some interest in him for acting. So acting and modeling," she said. "I never thought I would ever see Kairo, 'cause he's always been the quiet one, wanting to or even entertaining the idea of modeling and acting. So it's him coming into his own and I'm happy for him, super proud of him."
