Shannon Beador Is Staying "Positive" Amid Some Recent Setbacks in Her Weight Loss Journey
"I'm not losing as much as I was before."
Shannon Beador always shares her most joyous life moments, as well as her more challenging times, with The Real Housewives of Orange County fans. And this season is no exception.
The RHOC mom has opened up about her struggle with her weight this season, sharing that she had gained about 40 pounds. But we all know that Shannon can do anything she sets her mind to, and as of mid-September, she had lost about 20 pounds, she revealed during an interview with ET.
Shannon gave a more recent update on her weight loss journey when The Daily Dish caught up with her earlier this month. "There's not much more new on the weight loss, except that I'm doing my best to do it. My hormones are a little bit off, so we're trying to get that regulated, so I'm not losing as much as I was before, but I'll get there," she shared. "I mean, I'm definitely not back to where I was, so that's all positive. And I try not to look at the scale now, because it can be frustrating, so I just look at how the clothes fit."
Ultimately, Shannon said that she's hoping to lose 40 pounds in total. "Yeah, that was my goal, so we'll see if I get there. No, I will get there," Shannon said, with renewed vigor. "It's a question of we'll see how quickly I'll get there. But I will get there."
Just because Shannon has been working hard on her fitness doesn't exactly mean she's found a way to actually enjoy exercise. In fact, she still despises it, as this recent Instagram selfie shows.
When this season of RHOC began, Shannon wrote a lengthy note on Instagram asking fans for empathy and support as she shared this difficult journey on the show. She told The Daily Dish that, for the most part, that's exactly what she's received from fans. "I think that since my Instagram post at the beginning of the season that people have been very respectful and supportive of what I'm doing. The bottom line is — and I'm really embracing this idea this year — is that there are always gonna be people that are gonna be haters. They can sit at their computer [key]board and write nasty things to you because somehow, some way it makes them feel better. And I'm learning to let that roll off my skin a lot better than I have in the past," she said. "But I'm telling you, for the most part, people have been very, very supportive, especially about the weight issue."
