Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi Explains Why She Hasn't Finalized Her Divorce from Shalom Yeroushalmi
Here's what's keeping the Shahs of Sunset entrepreneur from officially ending her marriage.
Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi and Shalom Yeroushalmi may have gotten married after only a few months of dating and then separated only a few months after tying the knot, but it's now been more than a year since the two announced their decision to split, and they still remain legally married.
GG shared why it's taking so long to finalize her divorce when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Thursday night, explaining that the two have been mired in figuring out their legal settlement (clip above). "He decided to go that way. He decided to take that route," GG said.
The Shahs of Sunset couple got engaged in December 2016. They tied the knot shortly after in a surprise wedding in January 2017. GG announced in March of that year that she had decided to end her marriage to Shalom, and she officially filed for divorce in May 2017. The couple revealed at last season's Shahs of Sunset reunion that they were committed to working on their relationship. However, it was reported in January 2018 that GG and Shalom had decided to move forward with their divorce.
GG also shared on WWHL Thursday night that they did not sign a prenup prior to saying "I do," and she said that Shalom sought to receive "money" and "whatever" in their divorce settlement. However, GG said she believes that they are now getting close to finalizing the divorce. "He settled it. He's saying he's willing to sign right now," she said. "So hopefully, God willing, in two months, three months, it'll be done."
GG later revealed during the WWHL After Show that she doesn't think Shalom "would have came as hard" in their divorce proceedings if she had given her engagement ring back to him. She explained why this has also been a point of contention as they work on their divorce settlement, below.
