Scheana Shay Has Huge Career News (UPDATED)

UPDATE (Dec. 11, 2018, 12:45 p.m.): Scheana Shay announced on Twitter that one of her new songs, "Better Without You," will be coming out in February and "the rest shortly after! 3 are locked in!" She previously revealed that she was working on new music for the first time in five years and Vanderpump Rules pal Lala Kent decided that as a result of Scheana working with her producer Sean2 Miles, she would no longer be working with him.

Luckily, fans won't have to actually wait until next year to get a taste of Scheana's new tunes. She tweeted: "You can preview them on my podcasts [Scheananigans] with @sean2miles, @BNCartwright and Krystal & Chris! @ChrisRandone @CoachKrystal__"

Last month, Scheana Shay revealed that she was working on new music for the first time in almost five years, saying the first song she had finished was a breakup song about her divorce from Mike Shay and her subsequent split with Rob Valletta, who she dated both before and after her relationship with Shay. Now, you can hear a preview of that song, which is called "Better Without You," as well as a teaser of a new untitled tune she's thinking about calling "Do It Now (Get Naked)," on the latest episode of the Vanderpump Rules SURver's podcast, Scheananigans.

"The last time I performed was on the bar at SUR," Scheana told her producer Sean2 Miles, who came on the podcast to help her share the new songs. "I feel like I need a redemption peformance," she said. "I feel like I have a new swag now and I'd bring something different to the table."

Part of this "new swag" is getting involved with the writing process for the first time, as she did on "Better Without You." She worked with Sean2 from the first note of "Better Without You."

"That's one I'd have to do a music video for," Scheana insisted after playing a minute of "Do It Now (Get Naked)." "That's on my bucket list, to do a music video."

Scheana revealed that she's working on more music, including one that she called "the bad reputation one," with Sean2, who has also worked with artists like Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, and ... Lala Kent! Sean2 produced "Boy," the song that viewers saw Lala peform on Vanderpump Rules. Scheana and Sean2 plan to release an EP, but haven't yet announced when it will drop.

"Five songs, music videos, photo shoots," Scheana said. "I'm so excited!"
