Robyn Dixon Is Ahead of Her Time When It Comes to This Parenting Trend
The #RHOP mom has some pretty compelling reasons for living in the same house as her ex-husband.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac might see Robyn Dixon's relationship with ex-husband Juan Dixon as unconventional, but is it possible they're just ahead of their time?
The two are divorced but remain living in the same home together to better co-parent their children. When the comparison to other celebrity parents came up during an interview with The Daily Dish podcast, Robyn joked, "Ben and Jen? They saw me doing it and they were like, 'You know what...?'"
It's true that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are reportedly still living on the same property, despite the fact that they filed for divorce. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are coping with their "conscious uncoupling" by still seeing each other nearly every day.
Robyn went on to explain why she and Juan have chosen to continue living together.
"For me, I grew up in a two-parent household, and Juan grew up completely different. He always knew that he wanted better for his kids."
And while this is how they're dealing with things today, Robyn hints that it may not always be that way.
"If I have to sacrifice for a number of years to make sure that they come from the healthiest place possible, then that’s what I want to do...Everything is so superficial these days, so if you could give them that kind of core sense of family, I think you’re giving them a great start to life."
