Leslie Jones Accepts Invitation to Rio After Hilariously Live Tweeting the Olympics
The #SNL cast member is all of us while watching the Summer Games.
Who's having the best time watching the Olympic Games in Rio? Leslie Jones is.
The Saturday Night Live cast member has been live tweeting nearly every event since the Opening Ceremony on Friday, and her commentary is equal parts spot-on, hilarious, and heartwarming.
Not only did Leslie's amazing tweets catch the attention of Olympic Late Night host Ryan Seacrest, but NBC's executive producer of the Olympics, Jim Bell, also formally invited the Ghostbusters star after her tweets wowed the world.
After giving it some thought, Leslie accepted the invitation in a couple of videos on Twitter Monday. "Guess who's going to Rio?" she sang in one while waving an American flag and wearing a baseball cap embroidered with the Rio Games' logo.
"All right, so you know I'm going to Rio 'cause we slay all day," she said in another video posted on Twitter Monday.
We can't wait to see Leslie rock Rio.
Leslie also brought her sassy brand of comedy to the Bravo Clubhouse on Watch What Happens Live last month. See her yuk it up with Ghostbusters co-star Kristen Wiig, below.
