Reza Farahan: 'I'm the Persian Paris Hilton!'
Watch out, Ohio.
Now that Shahs of Sunset's Reza Farahan has unleashed his wit on the world, we may all never be the same. "I feel like I've been selfish all my life, keeping my one-liners to a limited community of family and friends, but this show has given me the arena to bless the world with my humor," the Iranian entertainer tells The Daily Beast.
Apparently, that especially includes you, Ohio. "I got invited to do four gay club appearances in f*cking Ohio. I don't even know if I'm doing them, but I was requested to appear… I'm the Persian Paris Hilton."

That's hot, Reza. But the newly minted Bravolebrity is grateful for his newfound global popularity, for reasons other than his carefully manscaped mustache has its own Twitter account. Seriously. "If I can bring awareness of homophobia and homosexuality in Middle Eastern culture, that's icing on the cake," he continues telling the site.
Two decades ago, it was one of his Shahs of Sunset co-stars whom Reza first openly admitted he was gay. "I came out in two phases. It was just after high school. The first person I told was MJ." Today, Reza's sexuality mixed with social media is making an impact back in the motherland. "[In Iran] if you have a boyfriend and you're in love and you have sex and they somehow catch you, I've read and seen things where people have been executed. I feel terrible for people who have had to suffer in Iran under that regime. They were able to overthrow the previous government. They need to overthrow this government. They need to bring about the change they want themselves… People have hit me up on Facebook. They type in English. It's cute, because they are smart and educated, but there's a lot of grammatical errors. They say they love me, they are proud of [me]."
