What Does Kelly Dodd's Daughter Think of the Real Housewives of Orange County?
The precocious #RHOC daughter is definitely a natural in front of the camera.
Kelly Dodd may be the newest cast member of The Real Housewives of Orange County, but her family seems to be adjusting to the spotlight very well, especially her daughter Jolie. The 9-year-old just seems to light up the screen.
But how does Jolie really feel about letting the world into her life? "It's interesting. Everybody asks me that question. It's like second nature to her," Kelly told The Daily Dish earlier this summer. "She's out of school, so she doesn't know what the feedback's gonna be like with her friends."
Jolie isn't the only member of Kelly's family to steal the show. Her brother Eric and mom Bobbi have also had memorable appearances on the show so far this season, whether it's joking about hitting on Kelly's friends or encouraging her to move on from her drama with Shannon Beador, respectively.
Family is very important to Kelly, so much so that we see her brother and mother live with Jolie and her husband Michael Dodd all under one roof. Kelly told The Daily Dish that they invited Eric to live with them because his career brought him to the O.C. "Well, my brother, we were trying to get him out here to California, and he had a job opportunity, so we said, 'Why don't you stay with us for a few months until you find a place to live?'" Kelly explained.
But when it came to having her mother live with her after she sold her house in Kelly's home state of Arizona, it wasn't about business; it was personal. "I just wanted her near me. I wanted her to watch Jolie grow up. I was very close to my grandmother, and so I really wanted that relationship for my daughter and her grandmother," Kelly explained. "My mom was lonely, and I just wanted her to be out there with me and live with me, really. We're close."
Eric, who works in merchant sales, has since moved out of Kelly's home, but it doesn't sound like Bobbi will be moving out anytime soon. "She loves it," Kelly said. "She's retired now, and she's worked her whole life, and she's loving being retired and spending time with her granddaughter."
With a granddaughter as adorable as Jolie, who could blame her?
