Camille Grammer Reflects on Divorce from Kelsey Grammer: "I Don’t Begrudge Him His Happiness"
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum spoke out after her ex gushed over his current wife in an interview.
Kelsey Grammer and Camille Grammer ended their marriage in 2011 and have had their ups and downs with co-parenting since. But where does the duo stand today? Camille recently provided an update.
After Kelsey gushed about his "fantastic" life with current wife Kayte Walsh in a Closer Weekly interview, via Page Six, a fan rushed to defend The Real Housewife of Beverly Hills alum. Retweeting the article, the Twitter user wrote: "I'll never forgive [Kelsey] after what he did to [Camille.]"
Camille then took to Twitter herself, offering a measured response to the Kelsey-directed shade. "I don’t begrudge him his happiness," she wrote. "What’s unnerving is that fact I was there to help him get through some of his hardships and supported his career and his sobriety. I was [right] by his side and he acts like I never existed[;] that’s disappointing. We were together through his success."
She continued on: "I was there during the writer[']s strike and the cancellation of Back to You. We moved the company to our home in Malibu. I sat at his bedside for 8 days straight while he was in the cardiac intensive care unit in NYC. I read him poetry and helped washed his hair. Now I don’t exist."
In her final direct tweet on the subject, Camille graciously said: "We have two beautiful children from our union and I was blessed to have shared those years of my life with him. We have both moved on. Just wished it ended in a more civil manner."
The cancer research advocate then posted an inspirational quote about the beauty of forging on despite setbacks. Take a look:
Since divorcing Kelsey, Camille has indeed carried on — and has her own happy ending to report. The former dancer is now engaged to her dashing beau, David C. Meyer.
