The Year of Paris Jackson Continues as She Prepares to Make Her Acting Debut

Paris Jackson is back in the spotlight, and she's about to make another major career move. The daughter of the late Michael Jackson will make her small-screen debut in a future episode of Star, Fox announced on Monday, as reported by Variety. 

Paris will guest star as the character Rachel Wells, who is described as a “young, super-chic, stylish and intimidating” social media expert who oversees a publicity shoot for the girl group at the center of the series and will try to get Star (Jude Demorest) and Eva (guest star Sharlene Taulé) out of their comfort zones, according to Variety.

The 18-year-old was previously spotted with Star co-creator Lee Daniels earlier this month in a photo posted on his Instagram account with the caption, "#whenpariscomestoyou... talking talking talking," Variety pointed out. A recent meeting with Lee was also mentioned in Paris' buzzy Rolling Stone cover story that led to him talking to her manager about the possibility of appearing on Star.

Paris will be in good company when she joins the lineup of legends that have already guest starred on Star, including Lenny Kravitz, Gladys Knight, and Naomi Campbell. The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Porsha Williams is also slated to appear in an upcoming episode of Star. 

It looks like 2017 may be filled with firsts for Paris. She is rumored to have landed her first major modeling gig in a shoot for Chanel.
