Odd Mom Out Season 2 Explores the Power of "Shedonism" and the Rise of Hamilton
Yaaaaas, #OddMomOut returns June 20.
Nothing, and we mean nothing, is off limits for Jill Kargman and the crew when Season 2 of Odd Mom Out kicks off on June 20. From putting a critical and humorous spin on the Bill Cosby scandal to poking fun at the popularity of the Broadway musical Hamilton ("It's like Frozen for adults"), it's clear that no topic is sacred this summer — and we couldn't be more excited.
Season 2 will focus on Jill wanting to return to her old career in fashion magazines, while also navigating her life as a mom, wife, and sister-in-law to her polar opposite, Upper East Side momzilla Brooke (Abby Elliott), who has a unique way of describing feminism this season. "Women need to stick together," Brooke says in the trailer, above. "It's what I am calling shedonism." Alrighty, then.
In addition to the always-hilarious cast, the new season will also include cameos from Jill's real-life pal Drew Barrymore and Blythe Danner (who happens to be the mom of another one of Jill's IRL friends, Gwyneth Paltrow), who will play her TV mom, Sarah Kaplan. Well, now we really can't wait to see what else is in store.
Of course, you can expect more unexpected moments when Season 2 premieres on Monday, June 20 at 10/9c. If you're looking for something to hold you over until then, check out an unforgettable Season 1 moment, below.
