'Odd Mom Out': Details on Our New Scripted Comedy
Jill Kargman stars in our hilarious series about wealthy momzillas in NYC.
Bravo is continuing its push into scripted shows—and our second one promises to bring plenty of laughs.
Odd Mom Out, coming soon to the small screen, is a half-hour comedy starring celebrated fashionista and author Jill Kargman. The show, based not-so-loosely on her own life, takes viewers inside the world of wealthy momzillas inhabiting New York City's Upper East Side.
Rounding out the cast are Andy Buckley (The Office), who plays Jill's wealthy, blue-blooded husband, and Abby Elliott (Saturday Night Live), Jill's sister-in-law and quintessential momzilla. Sean Kleier, KK Glick, and Joanna Cassidy have also signed on for the series.
Playing a version of herself, Jill is living in an ecosystem that has become so elite, so hip, and so trendy, that she now finds herself the "odd mom out." The 10 episode series begins production later this month shooting at various locations in New York City.
Bravo's first scripted show, Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, starring Lisa Edelstein and based on Vicki Iovine's popular best-selling book series, premieres December 2.
