NeNe Leakes "Prayed and Prayed" After Gregg Leakes' Cancer Diagnosis: Here's How He's Doing Today
This is how the RHOA husband is doing after vowing to "fight" the disease earlier this summer.
Earlier this summer, NeNe Leakes confirmed that her husband, Gregg Leakes, has been diagnosed with cancer. At the time, The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom made it clear that she and her longtime love planned to take on the diagnosis head-on, writing, "Our New Normal and the fight begins."
In the wake of the diagnosis, the Atlanta crew stepped up to show their support for Gregg as he changed up his lifestyle in order to battle the disease.
Now, several months after the diagnosis was revealed, NeNe is offering some insight into how her husband is doing (video above), noting that their son, Brentt, definitely stepped up to care for his dad. She added, "I prayed and prayed for Gregg to have a full recovery and I think God heard me."
The news of Gregg's cancer diagnosis was revealed back in June shortly after the RHOA husband spent 16 days in the hospital in May. The reason for Gregg's hospitalization has not been revealed, but at the time, NeNe canceled a couple of shows in New York in order to remain by his side. "I find it very difficult to stand onstage and laugh and have a good time and give you guys your money's worth knowing that my husband is in the hospital not feeling well," NeNe shared in a video on Instagram in which she announced the cancellations. "He has said to me over and over again, 'Go on. Go out there. Have a good time. Do the show. I'm gonna be fine.' But I find it mentally very hard for me to do."
