NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey Just Proved Their Friendship Is Going Strong
The #RHOA pals cooked up something fierce on #CupcakeWars.
You know what they say: The friends that bake cupcakes together stay together. OK, so that might not be exactly how the old adage goes, but it certainly seems to apply to NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey, who teamed up to slay the competition in Monday night's new celebrity edition of Cupcake Wars on Food Network.
And, boy, was the competition fierce. NeNe and Cynthia faced off against New Girl star Lamorne Morris and Olympians Johnny Weir and Shawn Johnson for sweets supremacy. Cupcake Wars host Jonathan Bennett previously gushed to The Daily Dish about all of the big names appearing on this season of the baking competition, in addition to NeNe and Cynthia. "It's insane. These celebrities go head-to-head, and watching some of your favorite actors, musicians, and personalities of all time come together and fight in a kitchen is just hysterical," he said. "It's so much fun to watch. Every time they would name a celebrity, I'd be like, 'Really? We got them! That's awesome.' I'd just be so excited."
Legendary fashion designer Betsey Johnson served as the guest judge during the episode where the contestants were tasked with creating some treats for a Hello Kitty celebration.
It's a good thing that NeNe and Cynthia brought their fabulousness in their adorable and totally twinning ensembles.
Unfortunately, NeNe and Cynthia didn't win the top prize of a donation to a charity of their choice (that honor went to Lamorne), but they went home with something that was still great: a stronger friendship bond.
