How Are Things Between Meghan King Edmonds and Her Stepdaughter Hayley?

Meghan King Edmonds has always taken her role as stepmother to husband Jim Edmonds' kids quite seriously. The Real Housewives of Orange County star has even been dubbed a #coolstepmom, but that doesn't mean that it's always smooth sailing. When The Daily Dish caught up with Meghan in Los Angeles at a bash celebrating all things RHOC ahead of Monday's Season 11 premiere, she opened up about where she currently stands with her teen stepdaughter, Hayley. "My relationship with Hayley right now is, it’s not in a great spot. She’s 18, and she moved out of our house, and, she knows everything and wants everything," Meghan said. "She’s trapped between an adult and a teenager."

Meghan did help Hayley pick out some decor for her new home earlier this spring. But, she noted that as she and Jim attempt to start a family of their own, it's put a strain on things. "Yeah, I think the stepparent relationship complicates it. I don’t think she’s that excited about us trying to have a baby with IVF," Meghan said, before adding that Hayley is also still dealing with the death of her mother, LeAnn, who passed away last July. "Then, of course, her mom passed away about a year ago. And then, on top of that, she’s graduated high school. She’s in a weird place in her life."-Reporting by Alice Dubin
