Meghan King Edmonds and Jim Edmonds Welcome a Baby Girl

Meghan King Edmonds can't stop gushing about her new role as little Aspen King Edmonds' mama. But she's not the only one who is totally in love with the tot. In fact, Jim Edmonds has really readjusted to having a newborn in his life. And the father of five is taking the job quite seriously.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

"He loves it. This is the first baby that he's had where he wasn't playing baseball, so he's had a lot of time to be at home and spend with the baby and bond with her really quickly. That's been really cool to see," Meghan told the Daily Dish. "He's an extremely hands-on dad."

And The Real Housewives of Orange County mom really does mean hands-on. "Whenever I wake up in the middle of the night with the baby, he'll usually change her diaper first and then I'll feed her and burp her. And he's always asking what he can do to help 'cause it frustrates him that I'm breastfeeding and that he can't help feed the baby. He really wants to have that experience," she said. "So I'll pump some milk for him so that he can feed her every now and then. It's very sweet."

After giving giving birth in November, Meghan is still adjusting to all the changes that come with having a newborn — but she is thrilled by the bond she now shares with Jim because of Aspen. "Hormones are crazy after the baby is born. So sometimes I want to kill [Jim] and sometimes I want to cry and sometimes I want to tell him how much I love him," she said. "I think that's all very normal, according to what I've heard from my other friends. Overall it's really cool to see this little person that's half me and half my husband. And to know my husband's going to be apart of my life forever — even if something were, God forbid, to happen to him or me, we'll be apart of each other's lives forever because of our baby that will live on through us and that's a really cool thing to think about."
