Dr. Jackie Dishes on her Reconciliation with Curtis

What a difference a season makes. After Dr. Jackie Walters and husband Curtis Berry seemed to be on the brink of divorce last season of Married to Medicine in the aftermath of his infidelity, the couple seems to have made a ton of progress in getting back on track this season.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo and streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Dr. Jackie confirmed that she and Curtis are still in a good place in their relationship during an interview with The Daily Dish in New York City last week. "The truth is Curtis and I are in a much, much better place," she said. "We're still in a better place of healing and of course reliving the story on the show brings back those memories and can take me to a really dark place, but overall, he's a keeper today."

The Married to Medicine OB-GYN filed for divorce three days after she found out about her husband's infidelity in 2017. "I think a lot of us as humans will react and not necessarily respond, so I never thought it through," Dr. Jackie shared. "I was devastated. I couldn't believe it had happened, so my answer was, which I think most people do, is to divorce."

However, Dr. Jackie explained that in actually starting the process of divorce and thinking about what her life would be like without Curtis, she realized that she ultimately wanted to work through this difficult time in her marriage. "I thought about the person I married. Why did I marry him? What would life be like without him? Talking about how to go through the divorce brought back a lot of good memories of how do we do this and divide it. It was a lot. It was a lot. I didn't want a divorce. I didn't know what healing looked like; I just knew I didn't want to divorce," she said. "And we'd gone through a lot: breast cancer once, breast cancer twice, infertility, my dad, and Alzheimer's. We had gone through a lot of things that I thought we could get through this, too."

As far as whether or not Dr. Jackie totally trusts Curtis again, she said that's still going to take some time. "I think trust is a process and completely regaining trust is going to take a while," she said. "Some of the sensitive areas still come up, and I cannot tell I'm 100 percent there, but I'm there enough to stay married to the man."

Dr. Jackie opened up more about the current state of her marriage when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Sunday night. Dr. Jackie's Married to Medicine castmate Quad Webb-Lunceford also shared why she filed for divorce from her husband, Dr. Gregory Lunceford, on Sunday's WWHL. Watch her open up, below.
