Luann de Lesseps Responds to Rumors About Her and Tom (and a Hotel Bathroom)
"Is there a spy in the Regency again?" the #RHONY Countess asks.
New rumors have emerged involving Luann de Lesseps and Thomas D'Agostino Jr. at the Regency again. But unlike the moment she discovered that her fiancé had kissed another woman at the New York hotspot during this season of The Real Housewives of New York City, the Countess is being cool.
The report published in Page Six Monday stated that, "An anonymous tipster tried to fool Page Six into believing de Lesseps and fiancé Thomas D’Agostino Jr. slipped into a bathroom stall in NYC’s Regency Hotel, where the sketchy 'source' claimed that de Lesseps performed an unspeakable sex act on him for 45 minutes, while 'audible moans' and 'whispering in French' could be heard."
Luann shot down the rumors during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday night (clip above). "I was shopping for wedding dresses, and I got a text message from my publicist saying that Page Six wanted to know where I was Friday night and told me this story about the Regency, and I'm like, 'Wait a second. Is there a spy in the Regency again?'" she told Andy Cohen. "And then I go, 'Oh my God. I was in Philadelphia at a funeral with Tom the night that supposedly I was in the bathroom with Tom. So it's just people making stuff up."
So does Luann have any guesses about who could have planted such a story? "It says a source says that it's one of the Housewives. It's at the Regency again. It's like, really?" Luann said. "Now I'm thinking there's people tying to spy. But at the same time, it's not even true."
Of course, the Regency has become something of an infamous Big Apple locale after this season of RHONY since that's where Tom was rumored to have been spotted kissing another woman, which he eventually admitted to. Bethenny Frankel was the one who brought the revelation to the group after receiving pics of Tom smooching the woman from someone who's identity she is keeping a secret.
Luann, who has especially been at odds with Bethenny during this season's RHONY reunion, added during her WWHL appearance that she has no idea who sent Bethenny those photos. "I don't know, and why hasn't Bethenny told me who it is, right?" she said.
